>> Yeah, I was going to ask what's going through your head as you prepare to take on the Hot Ones Gauntlet. Are you nervous? Are you excited? Maybe even confident? >> No, no, no. I'm very nervous.

I'm doing this because I love your show, but I love laughing at other people when they do it.

But my kids I asked them, I [music] said, "Should I do this?" "For sure, Mom. You should do it. It's the best show."

>> [music] >> So, The Invite is a four-person single-location chamber piece and really visually dynamic despite being mostly in one room.

As an actor, was there a particular joy in playing a character that's sane, that's stable, that's under control when everyone else in the room is kind of unraveling and losing their minds?

>> She's a great therapist, but she might be the craziest one.

And she doesn't have to play crazy.

It's just like she's complex and so many layers in that woman.

She knows all the theory and she knows how to press your buttons and how to ask you the right questions so that you can figure it out.

But at the same time, she's very [music] complicated woman and that is, you know, coming to the neighbor's house to propose an orgy.

>> [laughter] >> So >> You kind of got to be a complicated woman, yeah.

But it was Halloween, we were wearing um [music] clowns uh wigs and outfits and I don't like clowns.

They are scary no matter what, but imagine being on a plane [music] full of people and 10 of us were dressed like clowns and then the pilot said, "Oxygen mask, we're having a depressurization of cabin."

The stewardess were like running like the whole oxygen tank, they got it for themselves and they run like hiding a bathroom. We were very lucky. We landed safely.

But that was such a crazy bonding experience.

We landed, and they had to put us on another plane because we were supposed supposed to be [music] shooting a few hours later.

Um of course we were late on set, but alive. And it was really crazy. Ah.

At the beginning, when I became a fan, um we we were like in the car, the kids introduced me to his music.

So I was like, "These lyrics are not for you."

You know, we would try to fight that for a while, but then I was like non-stop listening by myself.

We went to Puerto Rico to the first show >> [snorts] >> um for this tour.

I've [music] already been five times.

But the first one in Puerto Rico is when Benito came to me and asked me to go with him to say the H 2 P R is otra cosa.

And finally, my kids came to me and said, "Mom, finally you we can say you are cool.

I mean, I feel a little bit after, but just a little bit.

>> So, you're in the rare club of having played Sofia in the Spanish original Open Your Eyes as well as the American remake Vanilla Sky.

What would you say is the single biggest difference, if there is one, between a Spanish and American movie-going audience and what they're looking for out of the very same story?

>> That was very interesting because it was the same story and the same character, but it really didn't feel like making the same movie twice.

Both very different world.

Working in different languages, different countries, different cultures.

That has been my life almost since I began working as an actress.

The movie needs what it needs.

Do you have a favorite painting or room at Museo Reina Sofia?

>> Yeah, but my favorite painting is the most [clears throat] disturbing painting at El Prado. >> Oh, is that a Goya? >> It It No. No, it's El Bosch. El Bosco.

A million things are happening in that painting.

Like you could spend [music] days and days and days looking at it and you still haven't seen the whole thing.

And I know a lot of people have that relationship with that painting with um Garden of Delights. It's like time stops.

>> Is there a film that you think best captures the essence of Madrid?

Like what film captures Madrid the best?

>> I mean, I would say any film with Almodóvar.

All the ones that happen in the city, uh starting from how he captured the city during the Movida in the '80s.

Films like Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, [music] the way he photographs the city.

How the people take care of their colorful plants in their films.

And like even if you have [music] a tiny terrace, no?

And it's like always like one more character in in his films. The same with the food. >> The food?

>> The food always appears.

Like there's a day during during the shoot where you know a flan is going to appear. Or a paella. Or a tortilla de patata.

And that's because Pedro wants to eat one.

And the sisters are the ones that make it and they make the best the best kind. And then he writes it.

He adds it into the scene.

You know, to feel less guilty.

I I've seen it happen like in four different films. Five.

So I have a very deep fear of driving, and I think there is a name for that.

And I think that is like the ultimate push to do it.

Every time I get on a car, I feel like, "Okay, here we go.

And maybe it's going to be a 10-minute ride.

Not me driving, like getting on the car with a professional driver with a My feeling is, "Am I going to make it today being in this car for 15 >> [laughter] >> That's the way I live my life.

>> And then Italian lunch, you can have um penne vongole.

>> This got game where you realize all your family and your friends there are big chances that they are lying to you in real life because everyone is so good at that game and is basically lying and manipulating each other.

>> What's the point of like you're maybe a werewolf and you're trying to bluff it?

>> you get the card of a werewolf and you have to convince everybody that you are >> I'm just an innocent villager.

>> villager or maybe you have a special power >> [snorts] >> to help the villagers, but you cannot say that because otherwise the wolves will get you sooner.
