the world changed and we've been isolated adamite a ting life life and imitating art and and quite often these two roads merging without realizing it at the time and I feel like this is one of those moments right make the song speaks to us right now but I don't necessarily think it was written for
that reason was it well it was written for now it was that it was just one of those odd things it was it was written about being in a place which was full of life and then now is all you know bereft of life so to speak and when I went back to what I've written originally there it
clean it was all full of but I didn't use them in the lyrics it was all full of plague terms and things like that I never actually used that but it was all there Keith and I both had the idea that that we should release it you know but and and but I said well I've got to rewrite it because it's not it some of
it that it is not going to work I'm Sam it was a bit a little bit weird and a bit too dark I didn't have to rewrite very much to be honest it's very much how I really did it on a specific level to this song where were you when you first started writing this I don't know I was just jamming I was just
playing a guitar just just just wrote it like that you know I'm it was semi humorous you know and then then it then it got less humorous yeah yeah sometimes you write these things take a long time to write and but this one was very I just wrote it really quickly in like ten minutes were you making your new Stones
album I mean correct me if I'm wrong but the last album was was brilliant by the way but it was a covers album long 15 years I think right since the last original stones album is that right you know it's so long ago that you want it to be really good so I don't just want it to be you know a good album or it to
be great you know yes I'm very hard myself you don't overwrite something or if I write something key thought whatever you know it's going to be great can't just be good so as I mean we've been recording we've we've got some really good stuff and but I mean I don't hold your breath
I can't believe that at this point and I'm gonna finish here because they just made me smile so much that um support McCartney went on to be heard about this went on Howard Stern did you see this no Stern stirred the pot beautifully it was like come on beetles have been in the stones beetles a bit of the stones this
is the question that's been thrown around for all all time beetles or stones because of stones and soup or McCartney was like look you're not gonna have to convince me mate beetles are better than the stones competition what do you mean no competition you have to qualify there there's obviously no
compassion I'm trying to tee it up here this is the clash that was it slightly seriously is that the the Ronnie stones a you know been a big concert band you know in another in in other decades and other eras when the Beatles never even did an arena tour you know magic garden or with a decent sound system that they
broke up before they even that business started you know the the the touring business for real you know but it didn't start to the end of the 60s and you know and when that the first Earl I that was for us was 1969 so that was real sound your own sound systems you know your own
stage your own stage surface you know what I mean and Turing that around America going to to you know hockey basketball arenas all the same looking all the same all the same size so every night versus you know so that business start in our 69 and the Beatles never experienced that yet they played
in they did a great game I was there in Shea Stadium they did that stadium geek but you know we when the stones went on we started doing stadium gigs in the seven and still doing him now so you know that's the real big difference that between these two bands that one band is
a unbelievably luckily still playing in stadiums and then the other band doesn't exist I mean I feel this way that the stones invented the large-scale touring experience I think that the the Led Zeppelin and the Pink Floyd were two of the other bands that were very you know doing that stuff you know I have to
exactly do the same time but a little more almost in the same timeframe so you know but we're both doing arenas Zeppelin and us with both doing arenas doing beef shows you know there's like lights and all this stuff and Pink Floyd did big stadium shows and so on and so yeah there was other bands in you
