something that other accounts didn't have you know whether it's like a hidden music bar or like like rearranging my friends I don't know like this Mak sound weird but like I don't know just that's what I can think about like creativity cuz you're just trying you know to be different you couldn't get where you where you've got to without having some kind of vision or understanding you don't move to New York
on your own terms go and hang out with people that are going to accelerate who you are before you even got music to play unless you have a vision no yeah that's what I always have Vision I always Visions like it's weird I have visions all the time in the weirdest spots I just had a vision while I was peeing about my merch something I wanted to do for my merch have visions all time
like I have a big vision for my tour like a big big Vision you've been having those since you were a kid so waiting for the opportunity to actually see those Visions through right that's that's tricky that's like like playing the patience game even at a young age it's weird though cuz like I used to have visions of being like a star like all the time but I never knew I wanted
to be a rapper I just used to have like visions of just like flashing lights and red carpets what was the motivation behind that how where does that come from the desire to be famous I don't know but I know when I got the motivation to actually take it charge when was that when I got arrested I was in you know I got arrested in Florida for credit card fraud um it wasn't
really how old were you then uh 18 m i remember being in jail like like maam I'm not old enough and then I thought I was like I just turned 18 so I was like I was a week I had just turned old up to be in like big people jail but um so it wasn't necessarily getting arrested but was like when I got out of jail and I went back to Alabama I was in Alabama Montgomery and I was I I never forget
this day it was the first day back and so I was walking around campus you know what I'm saying it's like a new campus and then I was going to class and I didn't have my phone it just got tooken so I usually had music in my ears blocking out like I had headphones and I block out the world you know what I'm saying I walk the class go lunch eat block everything out I had no music so
it's like I heard everything I felt everything everything like you know what I'm saying people used to like always like laugh at my hair and like you know what I'm saying stuff like that and I just remember being in social studies or World Geography whatever it's called and um the teacher was talking and I was in the back and the lights off and it just like people were sleep people were
texting it was just like this is doing nothing like what am I doing I was dumb broke you know what I'm saying I was so broke and I remember walking home I called on my friend I was like I don't want to be here I went back to my room I packed up everything I could take I left my TV I had a brand new like 40 in flat screen then and there yeah up and out man crazy I left and you heard the sound
of what you wanted to achieve that's when it came to you and you were like there's there's something there's a place for me here that means I don't have to sound like everybody else cuz that's the thing when people first heard your music it was like like it or hate it no one had ever heard anything like that before well I didn't know that it was different
I didn't know until it took off and then I was like well well I don't sound like nobody else seriously you know I don't even know if that's a good a bad thing but it's a great thing individuality is the thing yeah yeah I mean God you know I mean started to think you ever got like bullied Enough by people's opinions that you would change who you are cuz that's what people are well which it
didn't you know I was I was a strong side of me because man anybody would have went through what I went through at that school man you would instantly cut your hair off it was man it was it was tough how how long had you like had your head like that and present yourself that way before because I think a lot of people heard your music and thought well that's come pot and pasta with the OD
11th grade 11th grade I was on the way to work at McDonald's I had braids before they were real long and they were black yeah but my mom made me cut them for McDonald's job and then when I got the job everybody had long braids and color hair so I was on the work one then mom said you should dye your hair red and light bul went off my head I did and then my hair grew back in I hav had it
since what kind of kid were you when you were growing up I was into video games and computers let's talk about that for a minute like to find yourself making music and yet video games and computers are two areas that most people are divorcing music for and they're going deeper into that world and creating games and becoming designers and coders and things like that well I wasn't into
coding I was just like a I played them and I was deep into like I was deep into like cracking things like cracking apps like I was a lawn kid like I was deep alarm wire and Pirate Bay and Torrance and stuff like that the thing is about that that time cuz that feels like a lifetime ago really if you look at it in terms of the business but actually the the things
that were true to that time stayed which was that it gave fans control and it encouraged artists to make a direct connection with fans right and so anyone who gets in between to that relationship between you and your fans right now has to add value to that relationship right so I guess in many respects you were the first generation that learned their lesson with your realize you were
learning it or not I well I learned it from a the generation before with L be M saying just how important it is to be in touch in tune with your with your fans and your movement or whatever whatever people want to call it your your I say movement like your fan base you know what I'm saying I don't know I just figured out how important that was I knew it was important before because I
just I knew how in tune I was with who I looked up to and who was that from who you mention just then I mean growing up it was it was probably Soulja Boy and L B I feel like they were no I feel like Soulja Boy was one of the smartest when it came to just being and you know what I'm saying connecting with your fans and taking that to another level that's how
you get the real love you know like someone will love you but if they feel like they know you or they can relate to you I'm saying it's it's a real genuine solid love even when you down you know opposed to oh yeah you got a hot song I like this song this song's dope so are there things that you retain within yourself that either you want to use later or you don't want anyone to ever
know about are you do you have a curtain that people don't see not really it's all transparent pretty much I don't really I mean I'm pretty normal you know I feel like that's why I feel like I hope most teenagers can relate so I try to like be like a voice CU I'm pretty much like a normal teenager is it true that you actually reach out to your fans direct all the time I was on FaceTime
last night night with them wow yeah did it used to get deep did I mean did you because obviously when you initially make that call to somebody you're on FaceTime with a fan they're going to have to consume the fact that absorb the fact that they're talking you out but then but then does it get to the point where the table's turned and you can ask them about their life and it becomes a
two-way conversation last night I had a conversation with a girl I want to put a business out but we were just talking about you know our parents getting a divorce and she was getting cheated on and I was just telling her you know like my parents got divorced when I was younger you know how you when that happened I think like eight like I like when I think back on it at the time I
did not think that it was what it is do you think it's influenced your journey since that moment looking back on it now no know my mom is so good at hiding things right right like she was so good at I still saw my dad on the weekends she was so good at like making it look like I don't know he just he wanted a new house or something I don't know I didn't even think about like I never
thought twice about the day divorce until I got older yeah you know what I'm saying and I was never upset because they both still just like in front of me in my eyes they made it look like everything was all good and you an only kid no I have a sister and a brother okay cool older brother younger sister right type family though with your siblings no I mean little bit well my
brother's 6 years older my sister's 6 years younger so it's like a gap when it's time to make it like let's talk about this album for a minute okay because I already love this conversation where it's at let's just go into music from it that's cool okay teenage motion is this album right yes a chance for you to make something aside from mix statement is there different mentality
to making a rickle when you put out two mixtapes and now you're putting out what's considered an album I don't know the difference much anymore it's not but it was so much pressure in the beginning cuz it was like I felt like and it was what I had to learn and I I know I'll be much smoother with my next album but I was just like so I felt like oh well cuz like when I made a little bat my first
mixtape I didn't have a drop date a due date you know what I'm saying I didn't have critics rating going in it was all Instinct yeah it was I was just making it and then when I finished it I dropped it at my own smoothness at my own pace you know what I'm saying with this it was like you got to drop it by him you got to do it by here you got to have this cover by him you know and it's like
oh I had to think of this I to think of that you know my album supposed to come out originally on Christmas last year you know where was it at by that point like 10% you know I was on tour race shmer so I was supposed to record with them but I complet I lost my voice for like two months but if I would have dropped on Christmas it wouldn't be nothing like what it is now yeah yeah
yeah it's a complete different vibe I didn't even know I was going to make an album like this it's you know I just hope I just all my only goal is to impress my fans I hear two sides so far what I've heard I hear the side of you that's like you know really playful in terms of the songw writing you're doing and you know you're like hey man I'm going to talk about real emotion here
I'm going to write a song like bring it back right you know which is basically just like a summer love song you know it's like unrequited love on tape exactly um and then you got these other things like X-Men which is just that's that's little B and L yachty two different people you've successfully created your alter rgo and a chance for you to explore side of you people are
unexpecting yes Lil boat Lo and Darnell boat so which one's on the X-Men uh X-Men's Lil boat Lil boat's aggressive you know what I'm saying he's really Reckless I guess now boat has a chance to really establish that voice or you have to both of them do but now it feels like because of what you've been through in the last 12 months and all this kind of all this this excess energy from one
group of one camp or one opinion over here that that's like all right well maybe I can like maybe boat RIS is a few inches higher yeah yeah but that's when I I had to realize that that was me just trying to impress other people you know like which was like just doing certain things trying to show them like the bolt side like rapping or trying to actually like like when I did that freestyle I'm
