Katie it's good to see you sound fantastic on this song it's clear that you are focused and passionate about the music you're making and that you want to see it through at the highest level and and you know of course you're going to collaborate with people who are going to rise to that bar with you but I can hear it in your performance like I hear it the way you're singing like it's like it
means something to you in a big way every time and this one definitely feels that way to me well thank you so much for saying that um a few things uh last time we spoke I was heavily pregnant and I had yet to give birth to the greatest love I've ever known conat which has thank you formed and shaped and uh completed me uh and I never knew I mean that was inside of me or even that was I
was even capable of that so it's really it's definitely changed me and I think it um unlocked a feminine Divine inside of me that is just like transcendental and it's a place that I'm operating from and I get I'm I feel like maybe I was operating a little bit more on the defense before I I I had that wholeness and that love yeah um and and wanting to prove because all I was wanting to do is
to feel like I was enough so that I could have that love it's a metric of value right it's like you're searching for a sense of of of of fulfillment and what you mean to everybody else until you realize that really it stops at the end of the of of of the look of your kid and of your family like it it after that it doesn't go any further than that it's so cliche it's so Primal I mean I
clowned I climbed Every Mountain and and I was looking for this View and I have this view now and so Woman's World really came from that it came from this like wow like after I gave birth I always respected my mother but after I gave birth there was this huge level of growth of respect for her just like watching her as I grew up all the invisible work that she did how she
raised three kids without iPads come on oh yeah in the 80 oh yeah and and and and just how women are unstoppable they create life they carry life um they do it with beauty they do it with Grace they are not one thing they are they are soft they are strong they are chaos they are cool they're all the things and they contribute so much to the world and I just feel I feel so celebrated in my
life and I hope that other women feel celebrated when they hear this and that everybody connects to the feminine part of them inside of them yeah we should be all celebrating you know everything that you just really thoughtfully and perfectly described and I think it's you know it is an Anthem for women clearly that you've created here but it's something that we should all bring into
our own Anthem playlist and celebrate that with you you know and I think that's a that's a really important you've got a mother you've got a sister you've got I got a wife man who who who Who's on yeah who's like hands down the smartest funniest you know best human being in my life so you know it's I I totally hear it I I wouldn't have been surprised Katie after everything that
you've you've sort of just acknowledged and the how the experiences that you're having now as a mom and and as a parent and a partner and and how life just gets bigger and broader that that the music would have come out and and would have felt a little bit more um of a tribute to that experience both in sound and in feeling and it is clearly but it's got energy and it's got an urgency
and across and and the music you played the other day when we when we were listening to to songs in varying states of being finished and unfinished was like sh this is like Katy Pier energy on on Peak I'm full up now so I I am creating from a place of happiness and wholeness which is super rare I think and and scary for artists because I I think the biggest lie that we've ever
been sold is that we have to stay in pain in order to create great art but once you're full up there's this you're operating from light and joy and like Beauty and you can share that with the world now Woman's World is is not the whole record right and I know you got to hear some of the record um it's actually truly I think the bridge for me it's the bridge because from where to where
though where's it bridging from to get to this place today I think that people um they they kind of when they think of me they think of Roar they think of firework sometimes they think of I Kissed a Girl but I think mostly they think of these kind of empowering songs songs with a message songs that are like captions on on t-shirts and stuff like that or things that help people get
through and I love that um I love hearing the stories and really I write these songs from a place where I need to get through something um but so I wanted to continue with that and also this is the first um contribution I've given since since becoming a mother and since feeling really connected to my feminine Divine so I wanted to start with that now that feminine Divine has unlocked a
lot of other things it's unlock this like grounded sexuality this strength it's a really it's a security what's that joint what's that one that you played that's like a there was a little slower than Woman's World and was hot and it dropped H yeah that one hey wait do do we have a a little bit of that some some for some reason I think that's floating around somewhere oh man should I play a little
bit of that what are you going to play should I play hold on hold on you're if you're gonna play gorgeous I don't need to explain gorgeous we can talk about it after you hear it because like that's my biggest pet peeve is when an artist is like here's the story just play the song yeah but that's yeah well thanks thanks for thanks for like throwing down on my entire job in my life that's what I do I

that black mirr episode yeah yeah and gorgeous is like gorgeous is just like this like you know I'm I'm almost 40 and feels great there you go feel so good I feel like the the best years are ahead of me yeah I'm in them right now I can tell cuz it sounds like you believe that to be true so so it is and it's also I I think about like the timing of this album as well we'll get into all of this more

lot of space to be able to kind of build something new and so in many respects this kind of feels like you you know a 3.0 like a renewal you know it had to create the space I had to I have experienced my my my Peaks and my and lived through my valleys and learned through my valleys and I'm just on a ride and it's really there is no there there is just a ride and I am buckled
and ready to go we're excited we're excited can we talk about the album title is it out there or is that still information can we talk about you've announced it 143 yeah well you just did so did yeah I am just I am the worst right now here we go I am the absolute worst right now I'm in beast mode what else can I break what else is on this thing share it's called 143 I mean it's
it's kind of obvious to my fans but to to the world that may not watching as closely as them it's called 143 cuz it's kind of it's my angel number yeah it's my symbol it's my sign it's you know a couple years ago um we were going through a little bit of a hard hard time medically in our family and it was a little bit scary and um I started seeing 143 in many different ways not just like on on the
phone it was just like trippy almost and I looked it up and it's just that it's like code for I love you and I I really believe it was my my angels my gu saying I love you we got you we're going to protect you you know you're exactly where you're meant to be you're on the path and so I named my album 143 because I feel like I'm exactly where I meant to be at this moment and I do love like I
love The Listener and I want to give them the love that I've received as best as I possibly can and help invite them um into this kind of love love frequency it is a love frequency Katie when you tapped into that frequency you know all of us who appreciate you and love the music that you give us the energy and the escapism and the and the heart that you put into it um you know we we
appreciate it and that's and that's why I think everyone's going to be really happy to hear you in the space because man you know like if you're a Katy Perry fan you said no more Snippets you didn't say the same Snippets you can't ask for more than this you can't ask for more than this like this is just like this is just oh I'm sh off again I love you I love you for life oh
