coming out you know what it means to you you know the anticipation surrounds it and you know the inspiration behind it so what's the feeling in your stomach right now knowing it's about to come out it's like when you you know when you like meet a girl you know you feel those butterflies yeah something like that
brother yeah yeah yeah beautiful anticipation it feels good um and it feels uh like that moment when you put everything on red and my hit black you know that's how I feel too like oh it's it's something different but if we hit black we going to come back anyways you know ain't nothing bad there's no lose here yeah
there nothing but I want everyone to know that what what we did it's a risk you know what I'm saying the idea of a risk to me is only put it it's only relevant when it's attached to some true commitment some some some real dedication that's what risk adds up to yeah exactly what motivated you to
decide at this point with the band and everything you've achieved thus far Arenas and stadiums people love you they love the gift that you give us as music what made you want to swerve and do something different what was the motivation what was the inspiration behind it let me tell you man um we
dropped an album in October did really well then I got some crazy sh and then I dropped album I dropped the EP in February then around those days I check the charts man we go uh I get uh news from the Apple team right here they tell me hey your album is the first Mexican album All genres y all genres to go
number one all of them that's the first thing I right I was happy and then dude dude I was I was at work that day when that news came in that's crazy you heard about that that day that was a great day dud that word spread really fast and everyone was just like so happy because
firsts in this business really matter like sometimes you wake up in music and you feel like it's all been done and so when when someone comes along and and does something special like that and captures the world like that and creates something so Universal man it's a everyone was celebrating I go check the
Latin uh charts like I go to the the singles now I go to the singles and I go on Latin you know that that's where our music music's at and I go check the one top 10 and seven of our songs songs are top 10 bro and that had never happened to us we felt amazing like oh seven of our songs are top 10 like we only seen
Bad Bunny do that you know and on those charts you know and I felt happy then right away instead of feeling happy go and celebrate go get all crazy motivated I felt happy then I felt like not fear but I felt like something had to be done like the next thing I drop cannot be the same
type of music that's charting like top 10 like seven songs like I'm not going to go drop something and be repetitive they're G to be like it's the same thing as the last album you know so that's when I automatically start thinking like what am I going to do to be different and I start thinking I
start thinking and I was like we're going to do dance I got really inspired by the Drake album honestly never mind I got really inspired that he did a dance album you know so I was like let me do it but I was like well we're going to do you know how Drake sings a lot of he does love songs and he has you know
stuff going on his album was more love but I had there was like one song on there that I liked a lot sticky yeah and I've been liking that song before I even had this idea and I've been liking Jersey as well Jersey Club music and that's where we did like I was I'm going to do a dance album that's
what I'm going do what's your history of clubbing I mean dance potties festivals things like that I mean you found yourself in fields found yourself in rooms with stobe lights smoke machines DJs dance music Community not really bro I never really been in the dance music stuff and the EDM Raves and stuff like
that but I like it like I like how it looks I wouldn't be in a ra inside like in the with all the people oh H I'll go crazy but I would like to be the DJ right playing the album you know DJs we choose to do it because we're actually in our in our high we we we want to create an an experience for
people but being a part of a crowd isn't actually a natural habitat being in the crowd like that isn't always the habitat do you identify with that as a performer that that perhaps what you the gift you're giving your audience isn't something that you would necessarily actually be the most comfortable
experiencing you're better on stage better as the DJ better as the Creator then you are almost as the opposite that's how I feel that's how I feel exactly like I sometimes I look like how could you be at a concert like I went to one it was dope Drake's concert I went dope and then like we kept on going cuz
we got some little stuff going on with him like we got a little business going on and I was like hey man I can't be here no more like it's not me you know but I love to be on the stage I love to give the energy yeah so like when I see the Raves oh I go crazy like I'm claustrophobic I can't be there but I
would like to be the one controlling that you want to make the music that Aspire I love it man I would love it so it's an interesting position to be in right to to and understandably because I'm like you to to not really have experienced the club to the degree that you're trying to capture the authentic
sound of it so that relies on trust you got to find people with you to bring into the into the group dynamic that you have the chemistry that's established and say hey help me create something that is going to do that job because I don't know the experience inherently myself right I know the music I make
with my band but I'm not entirely sure how to get here so what was the first step because you made something that sounds legit having never really spent time in a club getting your 10,000 hours under a strob blade it comes back down to that day seven songs I said we're going to Colombia like I'm GNA write
this in Colombia like I don't I can't be in my I can't be where I make all my bangers at like our original sound we can't be here like we got to leave like and then I was like I got to spend money so I so so it could really feel for real like I got to get out of here go spend
go buy all these 40 food some flights that's going to cost a lot get Airbnb for a week and I chose Gordo I was like I'm G choose Gordo because he he produced one of the the albums that inspired me to do it and because I know him like he hit me up before like let me hit him back and that's when I tell him
like Hey bro I got something going on and I want you to be part of it come to Colombia come and he's like I'm down and we just did it and then I brought in synthetic as well I don't know if you heard of synthetic come on man everybody that's the guy that did I just want to
roide so said I love Jersey and I know he did that track he helped me out on my last album in October he did like a little hip-hop song I did like on some Hobby and I was like hey bro like by it's a great name for a label people want to do other side on some hobby on some hobby hey hobby records on some
hobby but um I tell him hey bro like you you going to Columbia too let's go and since I already work with him it was just I'm out I'm going yeah I was like this time is different bro just be prepared like that what you mean just come yeah yeah cuz we got a week and it's costing me money so let's come with
some ideas and then that's why I had to bring Gordo in on like the song Jersey you know that's not that hard but the other stuff like the dance stuff like you got to really know um and Gordo was the one on that on that track that you were bumping right now on the intro yeah
sopia we we made the track we made the track and we gave it to him we were like pretty much I made it with the guitar with my composers three composers that day it was just me and two composers we made the track and I was like Gordo take it home so we have to give it up to Gordo for kind of like on on the tracks
that are like really EDM EDM like this one he's he's the one that made it sound like without me having to spend all the all those hours you're talking about under the strob in the club yeah without me having no DJ experience you know it's beautiful direction that you that that you're giving there that's that's um
that's trusting in the process to get the best possible result and you've achieved it with this body of work let's talk about Columbia I I love the idea of let me just let me share this with artists right young people out there who who think that they're going to be in their bedroom making music for the rest
of your life cuz convenience can be a trap let me just tell you man buy an economy class flight anywhere in the world with a notebook or or a phone or a laptop and sit in a cafe somewhere on the bank of a river and make a beat like isn't it the best thing to do to just be able to make the world your
studio bro talking about that ask colia right there we got to Colombia and we we got to the top we can see all mein it was me Gordo we have some videos right there and it just felt like I recorded vocals with the air hitting the mic I don't give a record them dog oh get all of that
Perfection so overrated and that's what it was bro most of his album was recorded in random ass places wind hitting hey turn the mic this way so the wind won't hit it you know and making the world your like anywhere you land and just create music is beautiful and you know what you get out of that as
well you don't just get the the musical result of being in a in in a walless room no not just respect some of my favorite studios in the world don't have Windows but you get memories with each of these songs too instead of just being right there in the room you're looking at a c at the you knew where you were
yeah where were you when you were riding Sophia where were you we were in Su Mexico bro at a random ass Airbnb I remember the roof was like um it's crazy cuz it's a Memory like the roof was like a plastic cuz it it was like the house and then where we were at it used to be like a patio and then it was a plastic
it was nice though and then we it was like 5: in the morning we were making the song and we were playing it back and then the neighbor from the top see I make all big was throwing water on the on the top and we at first I thought falling bro I started running out I was like hey we got to we got to roll out
you're in the Rave and and then we then we figured out it was a the neighbor mad you know cuz we were being loud but see that's like you say it's a Memory bro now that stayes forever and um that we were in meico bro and it came out I was like hey we got to make a song like we got to make songs in 44 we on
some EDM we don't know what was going on we know we just got to make song 44 what Temple I was tell Gordo tell me what oh Gordo was there what Temple you want me to do 12 he said you do this Temple all right I'm going to do the temple let's go and then you you make sure you give
me the most you know the most popping right now and he did it but don't fall in love love that title we get to that the Sal's going to reach a lot of people because I think that the spirit and the essence and the honesty and the emotion of what you've created and your peers have created and your generation
have created through music of Mexicana and by finding letting the audience find the music of their generation and say hey look this is this is real this is this is who we are and this is what we love giving a Tempo giving it people a chance to dance but maintaining the essence of it such a such a touch such a
touch crazy man I don't think to this day people started getting into the EDM stuff you know like we did Harley Quinn yeah that's a couple uh songs ago you know we we we mixed up the the instruments with the EDM marshmallow dropped his house beat on there yeah yeah I remember I spoke to marshmallow
around that song people were already in the space like uh I know these kids did it of some kids um I remember the name Alex favella and some other kid and um marar they did did a song EDM as well and also the the percussive nature of it has been very big in the tribal Club seen for a very
long time so there there is the architecture of it but it's it's not not you you haven't done it and like what you're bringing to it your songwriting you wrote that song in BNB in Mexico yeah and then you turned it into that that's the difference people have done it but I feel like they haven't done it
to where they did it good because the song did good right but some sometimes they send you a beat and you just hop on it and we did it different you get me like I think out of this whole album there's only one song that was a beat or like two songs that were beat a beat and that we worked on a beat the rest was
like we created the music with my writers Melodies chords you get me yeah and then we bring it to the producer hey Gordo this is what came out dress it different you get me and I feel like we are the first ones to do it like this let's talk about first it's pretty clear to me that's an
important part of of the of what motivates you even in the few minutes we've gotten to know each other and I'll give you my my my my rationale behind that you had your most successful moment across all genres breaking records and the first thing you thought of was what do I do next how has it always been in
you that that that need and I'm going to use this word really deliberately to prove things if not to anyone else to yourself it's been a big thing in my in my in my life bro like I always not wanting to be better than others but be better of my be the better best version of myself you get me that's why
I felt I didn't feel see that was just something that came out of like when I seen the songs top seven I didn't go celebrate yeah celebrate or go look at or go I'm I'm going to do the same thing this is working that's what I do everyone does that if it's not broken don't fix it right but it got to a point where it was
already like too much you know like if I was a fan I put myself in the fan shoes like if I was a fan I would have get like man that's the same like already again three albums like nah so now I'm I'm ready for the criticism of of of my core fans saying this whack you know because a lot of Mexicans that don't
listen to like I'm talking about real hardcore Mexicans that they talk my music now because I'm talking about females like they just want me to talk about trapping in the streets you know because that's how it came out but you know we just we do always something different we always remain the same
person but you know we grow up you know we like certain things when I was younger I probably like trapping more I probably liked the street more now we now we more into you know now we in into the female VI like let's talk more about females today you know it's your right it's your
artistic license to do whatever motivates and moves you yeah and you can't catch your fans it's like trying to catch wind in a bottle in fact it's actually arrogant to assume that we can assume whatever anyone wants to listen to but it's true it's like it's it's everyone's right to to decide whether I
like you today or tomorrow or I like you the next day again or I don't like you today or tomorrow all you can do is what you love and then that's the transmit the energy that's what I've been lately I've been saying that like you transmit real stuff into the music real feelings it's almost like it's magic a
for sure hit you know like yeah if you're in there like and I remember man like a time of my career bro when it was like 2020 bro like we were like going through it on our career you know and I didn't feel it bro I was in the studio like riding bull I didn't feel it bro and now everything I've been doing bro

my engineer or to the guy cleaning I ask him what do you think bro like it's not just I'm not like I got this by myself cuz that's the that's the worst mistake I ever did back in the day I had it by myself I would write by myself I got it no yeah but you got to be kind to yourself on that bro you got to
establish your identity before you can share you have to probably that's what that's why I was like that right but it got to a point back in the day where it was I got it by myself and it got to a point where it was like I like having my team you know I like having people telling me no and then all right you

you're really really really and I don't mean this in a patch I think you're real smart so I think you do know but I think you also are smart enough to know that no from you is not good it's never good know from somebody else is fine I've learned to say no and not no like let's say if it's a really or no like
from someone that I don't want to do a collab with or something I'll tell them straight up like right now it's not what I'm looking for bro I won't even take it to my manager but like it say it's something that I don't really know like and it's probably a no and it's probably a yes I'll I'll tell hey talk to my
manager but if it's something for real like hey I I need to do this what like if an artist hits me up I'll tell them you know what it's not the right thing for me right now but I got these other artists I tell them straight up like I'm right here like at the end of day you know how it is and artists understand
and sometime and I now I get it back in the day I wouldn't get it either you know like I've been learning a lot you imag but also can you imagine like if the first time you ever asked anybody for help and they said yes you would never have learned what you need to learn until they said yes the eighth
time you finally got to them so I mean it all works out for a reason I'd love to talk to you about the balance that you've learned to strike between um how hard you work that is a given and how successful that you continue to be facts and what is important to you away from all of that the life side of it I we
always talk about this like here and there like with my partners you know but this is our life bro I wake up and this is what I do I wake up I take care of my family first right like family comes first always do what I got to do but I'm not there for long I leave I got to go
I'm I'm more than 12 hours at of shift more than longer 14 hour shift is that the sacrifice that's what I tell everyone I tell my artists I tell people that don't understand it some people want to be the biggest artist that's fine but you gotta really give 99% of your life for it pretty much like you
gotta give it as all you like I've gave it it my all since I started like I put at first you know I enjoyed right like Rockstar wo woo but then when I really got serious more than anything I've always given my all but right but now it's more like I'm more mature I still go party here and there
but now it's more mostly 95% work how old do you know I'm 27 you are right on time 27 man started when I was right on time my first hit was when I was 20 so your generation is so important to this to to the to the future of music you were raised in an environment where music was designed to create
content and to go into algorithms and social media feeds and not just respect but be captured translated and put out in different formats and not in an original format for to be absorbed as one and you have come through enormous success tasted the party dabbled in it and now you're committed to it for the
rest of your life making your boldest most complete thought through body of work outside of your comfort zone that is a message that you're sending to younger artists that you don't have to stay in the internet there is a Renaissance period after the internet where you can make art just like the
people decades ago made out yep and I love that you say that because that's the only time I'm not on my phone bro when I'm doing music or when I'm focusing on a song I'll Be hours without my phone where's my phone at but when I have no music I'm on my phone you know so that's my getaway you know but that's
what I love so coming back to your to your question is I tell everyone if you really want to make it and whatever you want to do you got to devote your life to it don't forget about your people right of course your mom your dad your people you really love and from there just you know that's all that's all
you're going to do till you get you want to be at and then you decide like do I want to continue am I going to retire you know you want to retire whenever you want what's retirement in the ass I know but some people really some people really don't like it's crazy I I've since I have my own label I've seen
throughout my years I've signed artists they don't love it as much as I do you know some artists just do it for the money okay good question when it comes to what running your label right do you sign the music or do you sign the person I sign the person a lot of times and I've made this
mistakes the wrong word I've made this decision I've signed the song I've signed the creative I've just I've I've I've sign I signed What I Hear as something beautiful but I haven't seen that the person doesn't have it in them to do it you know what sometimes I gamble it too though if the song's
really good i' be like all right if you really made this I'm GNA give you the chance but it's easier to change the music than it is to change the person that's exactly so what I what we do as a label we don't like to sign too many artists CU we like to focus if we have 100 we're not going to focus so we like
to focus give our time devote our time if it's not working out now the artist knows like hey man you're not doing nothing like keep on working but we're going to move on you know but you're we're still here like whatever you need want to record something they know and you know anybody knows when you feel it
like you know when you talk to someone they know like what the energy and we sign artist just to pay attention to him or we're just a label that signs a lot of writers because we need artists that needs a lot of songs so we focus on a lot of writers right now like we're
signing a lot of writers and then some of these writ become artists like Chino pacas he's one of my artists my one of the biggest artists on the label and I signed him for as a writer but of course we give him the full contract but we tell him we're going to give you the opportunity to be the Artist as well but
we want your lyrics we let them know we're not on know bull we like to let them know like we want your lyrics you know he this guy came I never got a chance to get one of his lyrics cuz the first song he released that's is is a hit that's is so I'm like hey brother it's congrats go on the next over there
next room you know it's fine and we signed these writers and now I have this writer that his name is Jonathan he don't know how to speak uh English but that guy he's a new guy new writer that came into me man he's killing it bro he wrote a lot of good songs for me and now I'm super happy for
him cuz he hit he hit a song already without me cuz I gave him a collab on my album and hit and now he hit a song with another like one of his own songs you know and he's becoming like but it's you know it's hard to be artist a writer you just write music and give it to the artist right being the artist like you
said is that's where you you got to sign the person when you're going to sign an artist you got to sign a person you're a giver man you that's what I like about you you could have easily just fallen into that thing of like it's all me I could have and that and but people that
do that bro it always goes bad for them I've been noticing it could be good at a moment cuz people that think that that means they really got it because but then I feel you got yeah yeah no if you think like that it means you're the man because but I feel like you just got to understand I mean I'm more a businessman
me so I'm if I'm going to have writers in my Camp they got to be signed to me you know if straight up so let's talk about ownership though with with with regards to that because I respect that and and anyone who's Smart in business has their contracts in their p's and q's
everything is taken care of and I'm sure that you I'm sure you move with a with a with a sense of fairness and you you go artist because you're an artist you got to you speak the language of course but ownership in the Arts is is is an evolving conversation right and a lot of artists and I'm sure yourself to some
degree have a complicated relationship with who owns my art always that's how it always is so I'm sure that's how it is with fza but then you also you're working with artists in an ownership capacity from a business point of view so how do you balance those two things I try to that's where I feel like it's a
plus for our company right cuz I'm not just an artist we're successful artists so it's been helping me a lot really in my career I got my partners and I sometimes tell them like they they try to act like just label sometimes and I'm be like hold on I wouldn't like that you
know if I was if yeah cuz I speak both languages yeah they were telling me that I'll be like you bro yeah so I tell them this we started we we just come to a like we work together you know and um thank God I now seven years of my career I own most of my stuff now for right it's a dream and I tell that to everyone
but you got to start somewhere it's no one's going to go unless you're a Christian and you don't care about business and money right like I'm a businessman when I started this when I started like when I was in high school when I was singing as a hobby and I was trying to do any bit I was cutting hair
and like selling chips at school like I always told my counselors and everybody like what do you want to do I want to be a businessman and what I don't know but I want to make at the end day I want to make bread right so I want to make I want to do and since I was little I would tell my mom I want I was little we
were in you know riding in a little bucket you know and I tell my mom m we'll see like in my hood there was no Lamborghinis right there was probably like a Corvette I'm hey I want to get one of those or I see on the TV tell Mom I want to get one of those so it's always been me trying to be in business
more than anything I've always loved acting singing right but I wanted to be business so the gift is the creative arts you're clearly born with that but the motivation is to make money and to and to make sure everybody is good is that inspired by a lack of means as a child or probably probably like I I
never I've always had food like there was nothing ever missing in no food on my like always food on my plate I always had everyone did the best they could I always actually had two pairs of sneakers I had like a little more than any other kid you know but it was I didn't have I've always was ambitious I
always wanted more you get me like I got the PS5 I got the PS2 and now P now I want the PSP too like my parents couldn't afford that you he me so it was just more of like or I didn't have the nice car like we weren't the rich family so we were just a regular family with
the regular car and then we had the homie come with all the shoes and the nicest car that that's where I was like Dam I want to be like that your taste for it and that's where I think it comes from just I think it's just Bor it's that's like a gift too because when I was little my mom would tell me that I
used to that I used to tell everybody my dad would go to work to make a lot of money you know so I was always on on that on that money probably since I was little and I don't even remember you know what my dad will actually pay me cuz my dad you know like to drink smoke you know do his thing so I I would go
chill with the with the homies right I was like 5 years old and I'll go chill with them you know cuz I was get bored with my mom and I be like hey I'm going to go to the B with my pops and then they will kick me out and I be like I ain't leaving it's my house and then they would have to pay me to leave so
they'll give me like 10 20 bucks you get me so it comes from there you know it comes from I think it comes from like me being from just young you want to have a good time and not have me hanging around make you feel weird cuz I'm here show me some money and then I'll leave with 50
bucks I was up put in my big paint I was up and then guess what then my dad take it all back from the piggy man course he he got me he got me it's his money he got me right his money he hustled me but man the qu I want to answer your question that you asked me right now oh about the how do I do the label stuff
and the artist stuff and what the label I was signed to Ranch they're not artists over there so they think like labels you know and I get it we get it Sony Warner like Rancho is the biggest Mexican label there is right now you know and we got to give give it up to them because they're the ones that
started a lot of this mainstream but they're not artists over there you know so they don't they can't understand how we feel you get me that's and that's how I feel it's like a benefit for our company where we understand how the artist feels you just got to make sure you know that they understand too the
business side and it's going to be hard for them to understand but they'll understand as they you want to teach them the business I my label I I tell them we don't promote it like that but when I sign with the guy I'm like our label is like you're going to college bro for school for music can I ask you a
tough question I'm signed to your label but somebody's not sitting with me it's nothing to do with you or your label it's just not right for me and I'd like to leave but I signed a contract with your label what's your got tell you it depends who are you like have you have have we done big things have have you
