i just i told him to go in the booth with me and just just freestyle back and forth and then when i finished my last bar i just did the verse and then that was it 30 minutes about 30 minutes 30 30 minutes so when you listen back to that when it's done you go back into the control room and listen back to what you what you both did um did you know
immediately like yeah this is going on the album he knew he but when i came in you know he had his verse done he was he was geek i know he'd be excited about something that's what i'm saying it's real i want to talk about this album and what you're covering on this record is a sort of across the board you know we've
we've heard and seen shoot it myself we now have this song backstage passes and the album in full so what are some of the themes where do you find yourself in life right now on this album what are you ultimately saying do you think in in totality it's just how i feel about it i don't i don't want to put my beliefs my feelings
off on other people but just you gotta stay motivated because a lot of time you don't seem like it get better you know what i'm saying but you gotta make it better so that feeling of not feeling nice you know what i'm saying it's basically just just keep going through it don't let it affect you you know what i'm saying
i think i before i knew to tell myself that's how i already was you know saying so that's just what that happens about like it's the third installment of this type of i'm saying this this i don't feel nothing serious things tend to go in threes in my life at least i've seen a lot of music and and a lot of eras like

a different space you know what made you want to work with him on this record uh he reached out to me he reached out to me uh he was here he was trying to get me to come out i was doing something like i couldn't make it and then he was just like my own trying to work with you i'm saying you just telling me did he
like my stuff you know what i'm saying and i was surprised and i he was like man send me some music this yo vibe oh my god you know what i'm just thinking and stuff and he sent that back like a couple days later two days man that's quick i ain't thinking he was gonna do it i had cause he was on two i knew he was busy
and he had sent it through i think i had called him saying he had sent it right through how do you know who you want to work with on a record in that case you got mgk putting himself in the in the experience right and and basically saying i can hear myself on your music in other cases you hear other people on your music i'm
sure that the possibilities are limitless about who you can get on any given album in this case it's bryson gz mgk future obviously jack like how do you know that that you want a certain voice or a certain feel to contribute to your songs i'll just be letting it happen i don't actually i won't be trying to force nobody on it
but i only reached out to a few people since i've been rapping to get on my stuff whether they did didn't they know i think that just made me feel like i don't need too many people on my stuff you know i mean i'm saying so whenever i do get somebody on i just wanted to be national like i ain't looking for nothing i don't i
don't feel like i'm missing them you know i'm saying so ain't just that i need another sin it's just whatever happened naturally it sounds good if i'm feeling your vibe the kentucky connection man it's unavoidable and we need to talk a little more about um this this sort of creative friendship you've developed with jack
harlow them both of you representing an environment where music is has a rich tradition but nowadays it's like you're two of the most important voices out there representing the state and the towns you're from what is it what can you put into words for people all over the world who've never visited that best describes the influence that
louisville has on you that's where i'm from i don't know nothing else but what no music scene for what i'm saying before i mean before jack and bryson i think it was like the first people that made it you know what i'm saying and then me it was just totally different than i'm saying different type of music
different type of fan demographic so we like created the the divide where we're from and i don't know how i feel i don't know the effect that louisville got on me i guess music looked great because i ain't never been from nowhere she feels that's just what it is we had no voice i feel like i made this one yeah for sure
when you go home how does it feel knowing that you are one of the voices that's kind of putting kentucky and louisville in people's headphones i feel like guys as opposed to you know saying like i know it's creating opportunity and i know the good outweigh the bad so i'm cool with that so this album man is ready and uh and as you said third
installment i never felt none um i know that you're always working always creating always thinking i mean that's the generational thing now like why would you stop so what are you sitting on is there more music that you that you want to move back come back with quickly or how are you feeling creatively right
now i think i'm about to stake a claim you know what i'm saying like with the music i got coming out right now and the music i got coming out in the future so i'm just i'm saying just trying to keep on staking my claim i'm going nowhere be around i think everybody know that and i think that i i i i had a lot of
influence on even saying music period not just where i'm from but you know what i'm saying all over the country and the word even this artist over in uk i know that you know i'm saying didn't like my stuff i forgot um i think his name is head he won yeah he was ridiculous he's one of the best voices out there he got that song where he said
he feel like esc you know what i'm saying so i think i'm having a positive impact on what i'm saying the music scene worldwide i'm saying nationally and where i'm from that's just you know i'm just keep on just building my resume one of the things i think that that we all as rap fans respond to is that you're very
lyrically minded that you you know you're a real lyrical emcee you love punch lines and words and and you know to double things up who are some of your favorite artists that kind of inspired you to want to put so much emphasis on lyrics and not just on flow and vibe i grew up listening to boosie future i'm just like the
guys where i'm from uh gucci it i'm saying jeez i feel like the regular people everybody listen to whatever that was like my error i guess i might not be known forever but that was like my error and i don't know if y'all consider them hilarious but i do you know it's they made like i feel like they had like sound contracts in my life
like boosie got a song for every situation your life usually got you know what i'm saying so i just when i came on listening to that's what's crazy about it though is is that you listen to these artists and then you find yourself in business with gotti and you find yourself sharing rooms with these
artists and there must be moments i know that you stay in the moment as much as possible and let things happen organically but you allow yourself to space to recognize the magic in that that you can be inspired by gaudi and then working with gotti man i don't know i don't know i think i'm such and i'm so focused later focused on
not making you know what i'm saying i don't wanna make i know gotti and a lot of different people you know saying believed in me you know what i'm saying so i'm just focused on making them correct you know what i'm saying i already feel like i know i know what i'm going to do i know what i'm saying so i'm just making sure that i
