0:00

I'm not threatening anybody.

0:00

I'm not Did something just happen?

0:09

Hey, what's going on everybody?

0:09

From First We Feast, I'm Sean Evans and you're watching Hot Ones, the show with hot questions and even hotter wings.

0:14

And today I'm joined by Bobby Lee. Thank you so much.

0:18

You can catch him on the stand-up stage. Yes. The TigerBelly podcast. Yes.

0:22

And today we're going to have some wings. on Love. You're in love?

0:26

No, the Netflix show Love.

0:27

Oh, and he's also on Love on Netflix. a couple of scenes. There you go. Thank you.

0:31

How are you with hot food?

0:32

Well, my ethnicity says that I'm good at with it, but um I might I get diarrhea a lot, but I don't I don't I don't know why I just said that, but I do.

0:40

Actually, I have a couple questions about pooping with you. cool. Can I say something? Go ahead.

0:44

your Jean-Luc Picard look. Thank you. say "Make it so"? Make it so. it. I love it.

0:48

Just like the [ __ ] TV show. You swear? Yes. the [ __ ] TV show. There we go. You ready, man? I love you. I love you, too.

1:04

All right, so the first one is sriracha. I pee sriracha.

1:11

I like calling it eye contact. Mhm. Very good.

1:14

I want to start by taking it all the way back to your high school wrestling career. Woo!

1:20

Because it seems like an interesting time in your life.

1:21

How were you as a wrestler?

1:22

Were you a good wrestler, average wrestler?

1:24

me tell you something right now.

1:24

Um I got sober when I was in high school.

1:30

And I was addicted to um methamphetamines, right? In high school.

1:34

did it before a tournament. Yeah, LSD.

1:35

I dropped acid before a tournament and I won.

1:37

And when I was on top of the guys, I used to whisper, "Your body feels so good." Cuz it did.

1:44

It felt really weird, you know?

1:46

And then I'll I'll math I won because I had to drop weight.

1:48

So, I was pretty much a champion. So, that's amazing.

1:51

That's what I was going to ask you if that was true, if you dropped LSD before a high school wrestling tournament and ended up winning the wrestling tournament.

1:58

Yeah, imagine if I was sober, I could have been champion of the world. This one is Tapatio?

2:06

That's not how they pronounce that.

2:07

How do THEY PRONOUNCE IT? WOW.

2:13

FROM THE outside looking in, being on a show like Mad TV or SNL, I'm a I'm pudgy guy, you know, and I never got girls.

2:19

The whole reason why I did comedy is to get girls and to make some money, but um before I was 24, nothing.

2:29

Maybe some prostitutes, but nothing else. But, you know what?

2:31

Girls seem to like comedians.

2:35

And I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you seem to do all right for yourself.

2:39

You seem to play up a couple of notches. I'm killing it now. [ __ ] murdering.

2:43

But if I wasn't in show business, my wife would be 4'7", her name would be Ting Ting.

2:49

Okay, have you met Ting Ting?

2:49

And she comes out, "Hello, hello."

2:50

You know, whatever, right?

2:51

But now that I have a little bit of a heat, I can get girls that are above 5'5", that have boob breasts.

3:01

And some sometimes a vagina.

3:06

Hey, um Jean-Luc, um how do I know that yours is not doctored?

3:08

Because I saw it in a movie once where, you know, the glasses and then looks like I drink it, I die, and then you're alive.

3:15

So, Bobby, if you wanted to switch, if you wanted to switch swords, if you wanted to switch wings, I'd be okay with any of that.

3:23

What you don't know is that before I even did this, I looked inside your eyes.

3:26

You're pretty good, dude. Thanks, man.

3:28

Speaking of your tenure at Mad TV, you have two incredible stories about taking dumps.

3:33

Once live on TV and another time in an executive producer's office.

3:41

Okay, I'm going to finally say the truth about the executive producer's office.

3:45

I want to know the truth about the executive producer's Okay, so what happened was this.

3:47

This is that I was always known as kind of a prankster, you know, and um also I don't really work.

3:54

I've never had a real job job, you know, I I waited tables and stuff but nothing real, you know, I don't know how to behave in a workplace.

4:00

But anyway, one day Ike Barinholtz and Nicole Parker were writing a sketch in the executive producer's office.

4:06

I walk in and then Ike, as a joke, he had Tums on the table, you know, for the belly.

4:11

And I just kind of pulled some and go, "Hey Bobby, stick these in your butt hole."

4:17

And of course I said yes, you know, because you know Trough. Right. You say yes.

4:22

And I took about two and pulled my pants down and I stuck them inside my butt hole.

4:26

Have you ever put Tums Tums Tums in your butt hole?

4:28

No, that would be the first for me.

4:30

I'll tell you what happens. Yeah, let me know.

4:31

It foams like a rabid dog.

4:34

So you you have the hole and it's just sizzling. Chemical reaction. Right.

4:37

And then what happened And then now Ike and Nicole are just on dying laughing cuz I'm bent over at this time.

4:45

And then I shot the Tums, the smaller ones, because it dissolved halfway, out of my butt.

4:52

But then after that, three pieces of poop came out after that. Right?

4:56

So you had the two Tums and the little piece of poop and that right there collected destroyed the right Great comedy.

5:02

But then Dick Blasucci, my executive producer, walked in right when that happened. And he was very angry. This one is Sure.

5:14

What was Jean-Luc Picard's favorite beverage? Was it Sprite?

5:22

They didn't have Sprite in the have space in the Enterprise.

5:24

In the starship They didn't I bet they could have It was Earl Grey tea.

5:29

I'm not up on like my Star Trek trivia, man. Okay.

5:32

This is a part in the show, it's kind of become a staple of the show.

5:33

When people have bizarre and interesting Instagram feeds like you do, we like to do kind of a deep dive, pull out some interesting ones and ask for more context.

5:41

So if you don't mind, I'd like to whip out my laptop and go through some of your Instagram pics. Is that cool? That's wonderful. Oh, sorry. You and Richard Simmons. Is that who that is? What's going on here? I'm a huge fan. Like I grew up with him.

5:57

So I um I asked for that photo and he was very nice and soft and gentle with me. Like your eyes.

6:03

Did he just hit you with this pose or did you coordinate that or something?

6:08

stand in back of me and then he put his leg up.

6:09

And so then I just kind of did that.

6:11

What's going on in this one? Ooh la la. That's my girlfriend.

6:19

That's you and it looks like you're in a makeshift bowl of Fruit Loops. That's not makeshift.

6:22

That's really a bowl of Fruit Loops in a bathtub. Yeah. I met her on Tinder. Really? Yeah. I swipe I swipe right. She swipe right.

6:31

When you matched on Tinder, do you remember what you opened with cuz that's always a Oh yeah.

6:34

I always open You know what I did?

6:35

So you do a profile picture um of uh you like on set. I told them. Right. It's the move. Right.

6:43

And then it's like my opening line on the message board is always like "Am I doing it right?"

6:47

And then I do three of them like I sent three by accident.

6:52

Like "Am I doing it right? Am I doing it Right. Right. Right.

6:54

And then you pretend you don't know what's going on like you've never been on it before.

6:57

And they make it seem that's cute. Right. guy's confused.

7:01

No, I do that every time. Hey! Look at this one.

7:04

Yeah, that's me and Larry David when I did um Curb Your Enthusiasm.

7:09

Larry David, he's a hero of yours, isn't he?

7:11

When I met David Larry David and worked with him that week, it probably was the greatest week of my life.

7:15

You know, because it's like rarely do you do things that you want to be on. Right?

7:21

Every once in a while you'll do something you go, "Oh, I want to be on this right now."

7:24

But some of it you don't like, you know, you Like this show for example, maybe. I didn't say that. I didn't say that.

7:36

My face is burning a little up.

7:36

I'm sweating, but it's fine. It's fine.

7:41

Now that everyone's kind of a foodie, there seems like there's this groundswell of white people who pretend like they know everything about Asian cuisine.

7:49

I wonder because LA seems like the hottest of hotbeds for that kind of behavior.

7:53

Have you noticed that in the wild?

7:56

No, what I get a lot is like I'll have comedians come into town, right?

7:58

And call me and go, "Take me to Korean barbecue." Right?

8:04

And it's like, first of all, how dare you?

8:07

Like I eat burritos, too. Right. Right.

8:10

And I like um white people food like Caesar salads and croutons and stuff.

8:15

You guys love that stuff.

8:16

Yeah, mayonnaise sandwiches. I had to fart again. I'm so sorry. Let it go, man.

8:22

Okay, that was like a kind of loud. How you doing? Okay.

8:25

You poop on a lot of shows.

8:25

This is all making me nervous.

8:27

This is all making me nervous.

8:29

different This is a different No, oh, yeah. I won't [ __ ] my pants. Promise? you I won't.

8:35

At least give me a 30 seconds heads-up, okay? Okay. Okay.

8:41

You were in Eminem's video, we made you, and there are a lot of moving parts in that one. You have Dr.

8:45

Dre on set, you have the Lisa Ann cameo, costume changes left and right. Yeah.

8:51

The reason why I got that was I was I swore to god I was at Soot Bull Jeep, which is a Korean restaurant on 8th Street.

9:01

I was sitting there with my girl not my girlfriend now, but a different girl before.

9:07

And this Korean dude next to me go, "Hey, dude." I go, "What's up?"

9:10

He go, "I'm a big fan, dude." I go, "Thank you." And he go, "I direct."

9:17

I go, "Who gives a [ __ ] right?

9:17

Like that's everybody, right?"

9:20

Yeah, and this time No, dude, I'm real. I go, "No, you're real."

9:24

This is [ __ ] crazy, this one. Mhm. This hot sauce.

9:28

And he go, "Give me your number."

9:29

I give him my I don't know why I did.

9:32

The next thing I know, I'm in a trailer with Dr. Dre and Eminem. I actually shot it. I shot it. Did you TALK TO EMINEM? YEAH, I TALKED TO HIM. I WAS THERE.

9:46

WHAT DO YOU WHAT DO YOU WHAT KIND OF QUESTION? YEAH, I TALKED TO HIM. WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

9:50

What did you guys talk about?

9:52

He goes, "My kids love you."

9:55

He goes, "My kids love you."

9:55

And I go, "You have kids?

9:58

I didn't know you had kids." And then he was cool. We took up some photos.

10:01

And a couple of days we did some dancing. I played an Eskimo well.

10:03

He He He was dancing with Sarah Palin look-alike. Mhm. Lisa Ann. Is that what she is? Mhm. What is that? That's her name. What is she? She's a porn star.

10:17

I got to quit watching that stuff, man.

10:23

So, that was this one, Pain? Pain 100%.

10:25

isn't Pain 100% the last thing?

10:27

Because it's not the hottest one. It's not? Mhm.

10:30

Then it should be Pain 70%. with you.

10:33

They They They got to redo this.

10:34

They should Because they don't have the ceiling.

10:36

They don't have the ceiling on hot sauces.

10:38

But you don't have the hottest one, do you?

10:40

I mean, do you really want to go hotter, Bobby?

10:46

Like many comedians, your origin story has some lowly beginnings.

10:48

The first chapter is kind of rough.

10:52

Can you describe the most desperate living situation you ever had early on in your career?

10:58

I was living in Silver Lake with eight guys.

11:01

Sometimes we men from Jackass would spend the night.

11:03

And we They called it the Dumpster.

11:07

And we we lived with a 50-year-old homeless man named Dave.

11:10

He was like a gypsy hippie guy.

11:12

And then we also had a 16-year-old runaway girl named Sophie. Wow. Yeah, it was crazy. And um she was on meth.

11:24

Quite the scene in this apartment.

11:26

So, put that picture right next to 4:00 in the morning.

11:28

Why is it there in the first place, then? I don't know.

11:33

At 4:00 in the morning, you would hear like, "Sophie, clean the house with a little toothpaste and a toothbrush."

11:39

If you ever are poor, you got to get a meth addict in your house.

11:41

They clean the [ __ ] out of They clean the [ __ ] out of it.

11:46

And my um my roommate, Kalista Ready to move on? No. Want to chill?

11:58

Bobby You may be going through some things. How are you feeling?

12:05

Are we Are you still with us? Can I take this hat?

12:16

Yeah, you can do whatever Come on, man. Okay, let's see.

12:20

Wow, with hair like that, I don't know why you were even wearing a hat in the first place. That is majestic. Thank you.

12:29

You're kind of the short shorts god, and short shorts are really coming back.

12:31

If you go into a Club Monaco or something right now, short shorts are in, and you've been riding that trend all the way through.

12:38

Sometimes you'll just wear briefs.

12:40

So, I'm going to show you some short short icons, and I want you to react to them. I want you to rank them.

12:46

I want you to say what you like about their short short style and what you don't like about their short short style. Yeah, let's take a look.

12:50

I have to say I have to say this. Sure.

12:51

I'm going to take a bite, and that's it. Yeah, dude. It's all good. I think I [ __ ] up.

12:54

I went around I took a little bit more meat than I was supposed to eat. You got cocky. Yeah, I'm good.

13:05

How about Andre Agassi with the denim short short look? I hate those. You don't like these?

13:10

No, because it's like they're kind of like board shorts, and um I want to see his body. What do you think? How about this?

13:16

Bill Clinton and Al Gore.

13:19

Those are the best ones I've ever seen. Iconic shorts.

13:21

They look like a vaginas. Pudgy like white legs. They're so gross.

13:28

John Stockton, he was kind of a legend with the short shorts.

13:31

He has um legs I don't ever want to see again.

13:34

I'm literally about to pass out.

13:36

Okay, well, let's move on.

13:36

Let's move on before we lose you, okay?

13:39

We don't want to take out Bobby Lee. He's a treasure. Did I pass my caps? You are past my caps. Switch the things. I don't believe you. Here.

13:48

Oh, [ __ ] That was like this, like this. Switch the thing. Switch the thing. Nope. Switch it. Here. Here. Oh.

13:58

I don't [ __ ] blame you.

14:03

Can I just say something right now? Sure.

14:06

I really don't want to eat this.

14:09

You don't have to if you don't want to. Okay.

14:15

Was Ken Jeong your real actual doctor?

14:17

Because people might not know this, but he was a real actual doctor. my friend. And he was a doctor. But was he your doctor?

14:25

I didn't have a doctor, but he I called him for medical stuff. BEFORE HE WAS FAMOUS? YEAH! SORRY.

14:32

THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST out of bounds follow-up we've ever had, but what's like the most invasive sort of doctor-patient thing that he ever did to you?

14:41

Like, did he ever perform a medical procedure on you?

14:45

Um when I was going through my Vicodin withdrawal, he helped me.

14:49

And I would say, "I have a rash. What is it?"

14:51

He's like, "Just That's nothing."

14:52

What kind of milk is this?

14:54

Uh I'm lactose I'm lactose intolerant.

14:55

Do you know can I can I gargle it with it and then spit it out so I don't swallow it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. It might help you.

15:05

I'll do it with you, man.

15:23

All right, so this one is Blair's Mega Death Sauce with Liquid Rage. What's Liquid Rage? That's a good question.

15:30

I think it's just marketing.

15:32

I mean, what the [ __ ] is Liquid Rage?

15:34

I think it's a Are you putting more on it?

15:36

So, what we do is we dab the last wing.

15:38

You don't have to if you don't want to.

15:40

Bobby, I feel like you really overextended yourself if anything.

15:41

So, if you just want to Okay, you're going to s- s- s- s- s- s- stop.

15:46

You think you think I'm going to struggle with it.

15:49

I will [ __ ] do what you're going to [ __ ] do? You think that? You Wait, wait. You really think that?

15:55

I'm saying you don't have to.

15:56

But, you're Are you going to do it? Are you going to do it?

16:00

If you do it, I'm going to [ __ ] do it. Love it, Bobby Lee. I'm Let's stop.

16:03

Cuz we're we're not in a rush.

16:05

You're not You have no one else.

16:05

I know you guys have [ __ ] to do, but I have to say something to my [ __ ] agent right now. Okay. [ __ ] you. You understand me? Yeah.

16:18

You piece of [ __ ] [ __ ] Let's go. All right. Love it, Bobby. Love it, Bobby. Is that enough for you? Love it. Let's do it. So, I know they Shut up!

16:36

Bobby, WHY IS THIS SO INTENSE? I DON'T KNOW.

16:37

I'VE I'VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE.

16:38

I'VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE IN MY LIFE.

16:40

THIS WHOLE THING that I'm doing, I'm yelling at everyone, I've never done that before in my life.

16:44

I don't know what the [ __ ] why I'm doing it like that.

16:46

This is coming from a dark place, Bobby.

16:47

The hot sauce is taking it out of you.

16:49

But, I want you to I am so sorry, everybody.

16:50

I just want to say this, that I am so sorry.

16:51

I'm really a nice guy, and I don't mean I'm not threatening anybody.

16:56

I'm not Did something just happen? Yeah, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. No. Oh, did you hear it? Oh, this not happening. Yeah, it did. No, it didn't. It's fine.

17:27

Elsa, don't ever want to do this again.

17:29

You have the heart of a champion, Bobby Lee.

17:30

You have strength inside of you.

17:32

You can go and you can find it cuz you have the eye of the tiger. Look at you. You cleared the board. The floor is yours.

17:39

We make you earn your plug in this game, but boy, did you earn it.

17:44

Number one, I have a podcast with my girlfriend called Tigerbelly and we're on All Things Comedy.

17:48

I also, number two, I'm in a lot more of season two of Love on Netflix.

17:54

It comes out in March, but [ __ ] it, you know.

17:59

I like you, but I don't want to see you for a while. I think that's fair.

18:04

I literally [ __ ] my pants. So, for real. Chill.

18:10

You guys want to see that?
